UK Entrepreneur Visa Guideline
The UK is a great place to invest in a Business. If you want to run or be involved in a business in the UK then get the UK Entrepreneur Visa. For a UK Entrepreneur Visa you must also pass the points criteria for a General Tier 1 Visa.
The UK is responsible for a number of successful brands as diverse as Rolls Royce, British Airways and the BBC.
The applicant employment in Britain must only be the business that they have come to the UK to start. The investment requirement for a UK Entrepreneur Visa is a minimum of £200,000.
To qualify for a UK Entrepreneur Visa you must be able to speak English and be able to afford to take up residence in the UK and invest in a business.
If you qualify for a UK Entrepreneur Visa you may bring dependents to Britain.
Duration of a UK Entrepreneur Visa
An Entrepreneur Visa is initially granted for two years. During this period applicants must make the full investment and create at least two jobs for EEA (European Economic Area) nationals. After the initial two year period, depending on the performance of the business, the applicant may apply for a Business Visa extension for three years. After five years the applicant may qualify for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) in the UK. If your dependents qualify they would be free to work or study here with you.
Benefits of a UK Entrepreneur Visa
With an Entrepreneur Visa, you could start your own UK Business or run an established business without the need of a UK Wok Permit. If you have the money and the skills required to invest in a Business in Britain, you will usually qualify for the UK Entrepreneur Visa. With the UK Entrepreneur Visa the investment requirement is lower than that for the Investor Visa. Applications may be processed quicker when the investment amount is greater than the required £200,000.
UK Entrepreneur Visa Eligibility
Our decision on whether you will qualify for a UK Entrepreneur Visa is based on two facts: you will invest money in Britain by creating a new UK based business and you will run or be involved in the running of a business. The business must be the applicant sole employment.
To score the points you need for a Tier 1 Entrepreneur Visa our decision is based on the following:
- The type of application you make
- Your ability to speak English
- Your ability to be able to afford residence in the UK and invest in a business
- The business must create full time employment for at least two EEA nationals
- The applicant must have sufficient funds to be able to financially support themselves and any dependents
- The applicant must be able to compile a business plan to present
- The money that will be invested in the business must solely be the applicants own money
Dependents
With a UK Entrepreneur Visa permanent residency in the UK is possible. Spouse and dependent immigration are provided for under this Visa. Your spouse or unmarried partner and any dependent children may join you in the country with the same benefits as UK Citizens.
