UKBA Announces October Limit Has Been Reached for Tier 1
The UK Border Agency has announced that the October target for Tier 1 (General) Visa applications from abroad has reached its limit. This means that no more Tier 1 General visas will be issued this month. The limit allocation reopens on Monday 1st November 2010.
Anyone applying for a Tier 1 (General) Visa from abroad may still submit an application during this closure period however if successful Visas will not be issued until the limit reopens.
The limit does not affect anyone who is applying to extend their permission to stay in the UK under Tier 1 (General), or to switch to Tier 1 from another category. Your permission to stay will be issued as normal if your application is successful.
